Case Study – MyFanMachine

April 28, 2011 by Roger Hutchison

The Facebook page for MyFanMachine uses both the social updating service as well as a custom Facebook page design.

On the design front we have a header graphic that encourages new visitors to “like” the page and stay updated with how to effectively use Facebook for business. The page also includes the “call to action” for people to visit the main site and find out more about the services offered.

Case Study – Bird Feeding Wild Birds

April 27, 2011 by Roger Hutchison

The “BirdFeeding – Wild Birds” Facebook Page is an example of a page that has a custom designed profile image, a custom header graphic, and regular wall updates and interactions.

The profile image incorporates design elements found on the main bird feeding site. It also includes a call to action for people to learn more about feeding birds.

The header graphic appears on the custom “Welcome” tab. This tab is the first thing that new visitors to the page see. The header graphic delivers the call to action for people to “like” the page.

The text of the welcome page gives people more information about what the page is about and how to learn more about feeding wild birds (the main product the page is promoting).

When you view the wall tab you can see the useful, informative posts that get updated on a regular basis. This posts attract comment from people who like the page and fans have begun sharing their own related content, which drives more interaction and awareness of the page.

You can also see the interactions the page has with other pages. As the page, our writer goes to other pages and leaves useful, interactive comments on other posts and images. The people you want to be your fans will come back to your page and “like” it as well.
